2021 Billboard Music Awards: Round-Up of the Big Winners

Updated: Jun 21, 2021

This past Sunday, the annual Billboard Music Awards aired, where Hollywood's biggest stars attended - some presenting awards, others performing, and a few left with a multitude of awards.

The night's biggest winner was The Weeknd, who won ten awards, including "Top Artist," "Top Male Artist," "Top Hot 100 Artist," and "Top R&B Artist." This was no surprise that he took home all awards in the big categories, considering the success he has had over the past year with his album: "After Hours."

The next big winner was Pop Smoke, who won five awards including "Top New Artist," followed by BTS and Bad Bunny, who each went home with four awards. New female stars Meg Thee Stallion and Doja Cat won awards for their respective categories, Meg's being "Top Rap Female Artist," and Doja's being "Top R&B Female Artist."

There were several categories that recognized all genres of music, such as country, electric/dance, rock, and Latin. P!nk was also honored and given the Icon award, followed by a performance with her daughter, and Drake was named the artist of the decade. It was an eventful night for most, as the Billboards never disappoint!
